"A crystal-clear alternative for you who want to drive historic rally with a Saab two-stroke."

Description

The car has an expired HTP handling due to lack of renewal. Covers period G1 – 1966 to 1969 FIA class CT 11. Built according to App K regulations ID handling 1432 which means the car is equipped with SAAB Sport engine and sport brake drums on the rear axle which are four-bolt and sport brake discs including brake calipers front and also four-bolt hubs there. Oil lubrication to the engine is done with oil for 2-stroke engines with a mixture of 3.5 to 4.0 % oil in 98 Octane petrol. The gearbox is equipped with Spec.1 final drive set and 7.38 final ratio. The car is easy to convert to a Sport replica as it is already equipped with sport engine and brakes. The Saab is in traffic and it has been inspected at the national testing facility. It has been driven by the current owner in several rally competitions and is currently used 10-20 km per month. The car comes with several tyres on rims, spare parts and some documentation as seen in the pictures.

Facts about the model

One of the 96's great merits was that it helped establish Saab in the public consciousness as a successful manufacturer of nearly unbeatable competition cars. Although rally sport at that time was considerably more innocent (and nowhere near as money-driven as in our day), the numerous Saab successes meant that the small Swedish cars were then as highly respected and feared on the circuits as today's four-wheel drive monster cars. SAAB's achievements were so many and so great during the 96 era that it is impossible to include even the most essential. Among the most remarkable are Erik Carlsson's victories in the Monte Carlo Rally in 1962 and 1963, and his successes in the RAC Rally where he won three times in succession.
