"Nice-looking vintage bike in solid condition—perfect for city cruising and winding country lanes. Well kept overall, it just needs a few minor fixes and a basic service before it’s ready to be enjoyed on the road."

Description

Originally sold new in Sweden in 1952 to a Mr. Gustafsson from Tranum, this BSA passed through a few owners before disappearing from the vehicle register, only to be re-registered in 1998. The older renovation and repaint were likely done around that time. Since then, it’s had a total of six owners, including the current one who bought it four years ago. Lightly ridden during the first two summers, the bike has since been stored in a garage. It starts and runs but now needs a basic service—fresh fluids, new fuel hoses, a carburetor tune-up, and a replacement clutch cable. Straightforward work, and you’ll have a charming vintage bike ready to ride and enjoy.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The engine kicks over and runs, but the bike will need a full review and service along with the minor fixes mentioned—straightforward and inexpensive work. Brakes function properly, though the gearbox couldn’t be tested due to a broken clutch cable. It comes with a battery, rides on a nice set of wheels with good, usable older tires, and is inspection-exempt.

  • Interior condition:

Rider seat is complete with some wear, while the passenger seat remains in good condition.

  • Exterior condition:

A very presentable bike with no damage or dents to the tank, and paintwork in good condition with only a few minor marks—nothing that stands out. A new seat and fresh handlebar grips would enhance its appearance, but otherwise, there’s little else to address. The exhaust pipe also appears to be a newer replacement.

  • General condition:

A cool, fresh-looking bike that, with a weekend’s work and the mentioned fixes, will easily be ready to ride and enjoy.
