Description
The current owner purchased the car in 2017 and has driven it only a few thousand kilometers each summer. During winter it has been stored in a dry garage. He has also serviced it regularly and attended to necessary repairs. All inspection records have been preserved and confirm the low mileage.
Technical data
Condition
-
Mechanical condition
The car has recently been serviced and runs excellently. The gearbox shifts smoothly and the brakes have good bite.
Everything appears to function well except the AC and the central locking on the driver's door. The AC needs to be recharged and the central locking requires a new power switch. -
Interior condition
Fine and unused original upholstery with only a few minor defects. The headliner is slightly sagging above the driver's seat, two small cracks at the air vents on the dashboard, and screw holes on the transmission tunnel on the passenger side. Original sun blinds in the rear windows.
-
Exterior condition
Very fine paintwork which is largely original, front wings and bonnet appear to have been resprayed as they show a slight colour variation. Surface rust attacks are present on the lower edge of the tailgate, left rear wing edge and rear edge of the driver's door. Bumpers, panels and trim without remarks. Fine tyres on original light-alloy wheels.
-
General condition
A youngtimer of distinction, Volvo's most luxurious car of the early 1980s, presented here in a ready-to-drive original condition, prepared for immediate use.
Facts about the model
When the 760 arrived, there were two engine options to choose from: the six-cylinder PRV engine and the brand new TD24 – a six-cylinder turbocharged diesel. The latter meant that Volvo 760 was long considered Europe's fastest diesel-powered saloon. In 1983 it also became available with the B23 – a four-cylinder 2.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which was later replaced by the B230ET – and from 1989, the B230FT.
