This classic Beetle, originally built to U.S. specification, has a documented Swedish history dating back to 1969, when it was imported from Germany by Bilkompaniet in Enköping. Since then, it has been well cared for and today presents as an attractive example that combines classic styling with the benefits of an extensive restoration.
Approximately four years ago, the car underwent a comprehensive restoration. The body was professionally repaired where necessary before receiving a high-quality repaint to an excellent standard. At the same time, the engine was rebuilt and the braking system was completely overhauled, resulting in a car that is both enjoyable and reassuring to drive.
The restoration included numerous improvements. All four fenders were replaced, along with every rubber seal, giving the car a fresh and well-finished appearance. All exterior chrome trim has been renewed, further enhancing its presentation. The Beetle also rides on new tires and has been fitted with new shock absorbers all around. New running boards have been installed, while the rear stone guards in the 1950s style add a period-correct accessory that recalls earlier Beetle models.
Since the restoration, the car has seen only limited use, primarily for short local drives and visits to classic car meets and motoring events. As a result, it has retained the excellent condition in which it is presented today.
The sale includes documentation consisting of invoices and inspection records that verify the work carried out over the years.

Facts about the model
The major news for this model year was the introduction of the 1500 cc engine, producing 44 horsepower. In many markets, however, the Volkswagen Beetle remained available with the 1200 cc and 1300 cc engines. This year also saw the introduction of the new, more angular engine lid and four-bolt wheels.
The 1500 model was further distinguished by front disc brakes and a 1500 badge on the engine lid.

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
