Description
The scooter is in running and rideable condition but requires new tyres and adjustment of the hand brake. It was repainted in its current light green colour many years ago, although it is believed to have originally been dark blue.
The engine starts easily using the Magna-Pull recoil starter and performs as it should on the road. While no earlier documentation is available, the scooter has been used by the current owner for many years as a runabout on their property.

Facts about the model
Thanks to its long wheelbase, large wheels, and well-balanced suspension, the Hobby Roller offers a remarkably comfortable ride. Beneath the generously sized seat are a 5-litre fuel tank and a storage compartment for tools and other essentials.
With support from the Marshall Plan, the scooter was also produced in France by the firearms manufacturer Manurhin.
The Hobby Roller became an affordable, practical, and reliable means of transport, particularly for customers with amputations or other physical disabilities who were unable to kick-start a conventional motorcycle and could not afford a car.
Its technical specifications are modest but effective: 74 cc, approximately 3 horsepower, and a top speed of around 65 km/h. The CVT transmission changes ratio at around 30 km/h, allowing the scooter to cruise smoothly, quietly, and with impressive stability at around 45 km/h, helped by its exceptionally long wheelbase.
