A nice (convertible if desired) French sports car. This could be a great summer car for those who enjoy open-air driving. Both the original soft top frame and original hard top come with the car. The included hard top is slightly scratched, as shown in the pictures. A new soft top is also included as the one in the pictures is worn. The current odometer reading is 2449 km, but we do not know the total mileage. 1968 marked the final year for the Caravelle as it was then called. Only 1438 units were produced that year.

Mechanical condition
Runs well in engine and drivetrain. The soft top mechanism functions properly, manually operated. Brakes are effective and even.

Interior condition
The interior is in okay condition with a nice patina. The front seats are in good shape, and the rear seat folding function works properly. There are some small cracks on the dashboard.

Exterior condition
The paint is in okay condition with some small damages. Some rust is beginning to show, primarily on the sills and around the edges of the fenders, as shown in the pictures. The hard top is scratched with a few dents, also visible in the pictures. The soft top is worn out.

General condition
A Renault in decent used condition. Worth preserving as this model is not very common on the roads anymore.

Facts about the model
Renault Caravelle/Floride is a small sports car model from Renault, manufactured in 117,000 units between June 1959 and July 1968. The model was first showcased at the Paris Motor Show in October 1958. Outside of North America and the UK, the car was marketed under the name Renault Floride until 1962. It was a small rear-engined convertible designed by the Italian automotive designer Pietro Frua at Carrozzeria Ghia. 1968 marked the final year for the Renault Caravelle. Only 1,438 units of the car were produced during that year.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
