"Charming and rare car in largely untouched condition"

Description

The car's previous history is unknown, but judging by the appearance, this is the face lifted Junior that came in the autumn of 1957. The decor and equipment match the model that was called the Standard Super Ten at home in England.

In Sweden, they were sold under the name Vanguard Junior. The fact that it is a late model makes it unusual as relatively few new Standard cars were registered in the last years 1958-60.

It has been in traffic since around 1972 when it received the new license plates. It is so intact on the surface layer and almost in new condition. The car was probably stored in a dry garage throughout the years.

The car has currently fallen out of the register, and the papers and previous documentation have not been found.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

On the technical side, it is impossible to tell if the car has not been driven for 50 years. During its lifetime, it seems to have been heavily undercarriage treated and greased, which should have preserved the mechanics.

  • Interior condition:

Here, time has stood still and the patina has slowly worn away. Complete and largely untouched. Rubber and plastics have become brittle with age, but overall it has held up well.

The boot is complete with the original carpet, spare wheel, jack and tools.

  • Exterior condition:

In complete and normal condition for a car of that has been used for an estimated 12-14 years. There are repairs after some parking damage at the front: The doors and screen edges are good, but some rust has appeared on the threshold.

  • General condition:

A whole and complete car that can be seen as an exciting renovation object.

Facts about the model

Sen droppade i rask takt.
