Description
This Granada was sold new to a person in Tierp in 1977. He then sold the car to a car dealership in Uppsala. The next owner, residing in Öregrund, purchased the car in 1979 and used it sparingly until 2013. The car remained in the garage for many years as the owner was unable to drive it due to age. The current owner bought the Granada in 2013. At that time, it had some cosmetic damage and the front fenders were rusty. He disassembled the car and replaced the front fenders with better-used ones, then had it repainted in its original color, Jupiter Red (Ford paint code 3A), in 2014. It was then reassembled with new trim clips. The top end of the engine was overhauled by the owner in 2021, including valve grinding and other necessary work. Oil and filters have been changed annually before storing the car for winter. The car has only been used during the summer months and stored in a heated garage. It has been rustproofed by the first owner and by the current owner, most recently in 2016. The owner has primarily used the car for enthusiast gatherings. In 2022, the hood and right side of the car were partially damaged due to debris hitting the car during strong winds while it was parked outdoors. However, this has been repaired with good results. The car has received new shock absorbers, springs, bushings, tires, brake hoses/lines, and more. It has been equipped with an electronic fuel pump, and the mechanical pump is included. The owner has provided regular maintenance for the car. Some spare parts, older studded winter tires, and some documentation are included. The vinyl roof is not in perfect condition and may need to be replaced. The current and previous owners have patched cracks in the vinyl. The driver's seat may need new padding/foam, and there is some wear on the upholstery.

The Ford Granada was produced between 1972 and 1985. The first generation was introduced alongside the simpler sister model, the Consul, and only German-built cars were imported to Sweden.
In 1977, the second generation was introduced, which had a more streamlined and angular design but shared the same technology as its predecessor. In Sweden, it was available with either a 2.0-liter inline-four engine producing just over 100 horsepower or the more powerful 2.8-liter V6 engine, depending on the year, with or without fuel injection. The Granada was also offered with diesel engines.
For the 1982 model year, the Granada underwent a significant redesign, and the five-speed manual transmission became standard in Sweden, improving fuel economy. The appearance was also updated with bumper extensions, different trim, and a new grille.

Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
