"This car works fine in its current condition. There are no significant remarks considering its age, mileage, and so on. The great thing is that you can use the car while gradually improving it over time."

Description

This American car feels very Swedish. It has a convenient size that suited the Swedish temperament. European cars of the 1960s were not that big, and this Falcon felt like a perfectly sized car. In this way, one could have a cooler car than the neighbor without boasting about it.

The Falcon was sold new by Bilbolaget in Härnösand. As far as we have been able to verify, the car has always been in Norrland. It has been in the towns of Kramfors, Väja, and Bollstabruk. The current owner purchased it in 2018 and is now letting it move on.
The odometer currently shows 3386 Swedish miles. It has likely traveled more, as the odometer rolls over and starts at zero after 100 000 km. Considering its well-preserved condition, it is reasonable to assume that it has only made one full rotation. So we believe that 133 860 km is the correct mileage.
The last inspection was in 2017, and the car is now exempt from inspections. The original instruction manual and jack are included. The spare wheel is missing.
According to information from the Swedish Transport Agency, there are only 26 1960 Ford Falcon Tudor models remaining in the vehicle registry.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

Equipped with Ford's classic inline-six engine, this model has a stated power output of 90 horsepower. It features a 3-speed manual transmission with a column shifter. The car starts easily and runs smoothly. The overall mechanical condition is in normal working order. It is also fitted with Hi-jacker shock absorbers and a compressor in the trunk, allowing the car to be slightly raised when towing a trailer.

  • Interior condition

The original interior is in such good condition that we believe protective seat covers have been used. The center console with the modern stereo is not original, but it can be easily removed.

  • Exterior condition

An older repaint with some defects. There are some cracking, minor scratches, and a few blisters on the car. However, they are not significantly prominent. Please refer to the pictures. The chrome and trim are in average condition considering everyday use.

  • General condition

In good overall condition, well above average for the car's make and year.

Owner's comment

A pleasant and easy-to-drive compact American car that was originally sold in Norrland. It would be especially nice if it stays up here in the north. The main thing is that it is purchased by someone who appreciates these fantastic little Yankee cars. The tow hitch is an extra practical feature, making every trip to the local building supply store a success when picking up boards.
