Condition
-
Mechanical condition
With a relatively modest output from the V8 at a stated 188 hp, driving is calm and restrained. The engine burbles smoothly at low revs, and the gearbox shifts nicely. No unwanted noises or squeaks from the chassis. The wheels show some damage, and the right front tire wears unevenly on the outer edge. This can be remedied with new tie rod ends, which are included with the car. The winter wheels are actually in better condition (see pictures).
-
Interior condition
The current owner had a clear vision for what he wanted to do with the van’s interior, which was somewhat worn in the cargo area. A proper single bed, refrigerator, sink, kitchen counter, secured 220V connection, and a fixed charger were installed. And still, the four comfortable original seats remain. The seats and original carpets are fresh and in good condition, though the latter are sun-faded, mainly around the engine cover inside.
-
Exterior condition
Nice paint in original finish, likely partly resprayed on the lower sections, but with no rust repairs. The current owner has had a thorough professional rustproofing treatment carried out, and the car’s excellent sheet metal condition was also an important reason why he bought it.
-
General condition
A solid and fun 1980s van with plenty of possibilities, in attractive, good technical, and presentable condition. Well-functioning and practical living space.

Facts about the model
Hi-top versions became almost a subculture of their own in the US during the 1980s and early ’90s—long road trips, family vacations, and camping. In Sweden and Norway, the model also sold well, though customers here didn’t camp as much; more often, they were small business owners who could register them as light trucks.
