Great interior with its original detailing; only remarks are the inside door handles are repaired. Very attractive original seats and clean and tidy mats and door cards

Good paint work overall with a nice finish. Very small dent on the driver’s door and chrome edging. Small surface rust blisters on the sills, wheel arches and lower doors and under headlight easy to fix just. The boot, floors and under body are very solid.

Facts about the model
Med Amazon-modellen inledde Volvo Personvagnar AB en ny era där man utmanande de övriga biltillverkare med en vacker kaross, hög säkerhet och trygga vägegenskaper. Debuten skedde 1956 och modellen kom att leva i hela 14 år, sista Amazon tillverkades 1970. Modellserien kompletterade både den äldre PV som den nyare 140-serien under sin levnad. 1969 var Amazonens näst sista produktionsår och bilen ansågs fortfarande attraktiv för Volvokunder genom sin höga förlitlighet och robusta konstruktion.
121, tvådörrarsversionen, anser många som den mest vackra Amazon-varianten. Med närmast italienskt linjespel – designchefen Jan Wilsgaard lät sig inspireras av dåtidens italienska bilar när han formgav Amazon under tidigt 1950-tal – och i svart lack blir Amazon både sober som elegant på samma gång. Enligt Wilsgaard var även amerikanska bilar och framförallt Kaiser en källa till inspiration.
Den välbeprövade B18-drivlinan med fyrväxlad manuell låda är lätt att serva och underhålla och det finns fortfarande gott om delar till Amazon, även som nyproducerade.
De första åtta åren tillverkades Amazon på Volvos ursprungliga fabrik Lundbyverken men i och med Torslandaverkens invigning 1964 fasades även Amazon-produktionen över till den helt nya anläggningen. Amazon byggdes även i belgiska Gent och modellen sattes även samman i Halifax (Kanada), Durban (Sydafrika) samt Arica (Chile). 1969 slopade Volvo den tidigare B18-motorn i Amazon till förmån för den nyare och större B20 vilket skänkte extra kraft till en redan stark Volvomodell. Den sista Volvo Amazon tillverkades den 3 juli 1970.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
