"An improbably well-preserved Saab, both inside and out. The car runs smoothly and we do not see anything that needs to be addressed, just continued careful maintenance."

Description

The car's first owner used it sparingly during the initial years before taking it off the road. During its time in storage, it was deregistered from the vehicle registry. In 2008, the car was purchased by a close friend of the original owner, who re-registered it and performed a start-up service. He also had the engine rebuilt by a highly regarded Saab mechanic.

The car was then sold to a new owner who drove it sparingly, only during the summer months. Feeling that the car was not being used enough, this owner decided to sell it to the current owner, who, after much consideration, has chosen to focus on their Volvo cars. They now hope the Saab will find a new home where it will be appreciated for the unique vehicle it is and the driving joy it offers.

Facts about the model

The car is an original vehicle with charming patina, complemented by a restored mechanical system.

Inside, the iconic Saab Sport wooden steering wheel is in place, along with all the distinctive luxury features, such as the passenger-only headrest, the clock with a second hand, the tachometer, and the minimalist rear seat unique to the Saab Sport and its successor, the Monte Carlo.

As a true Monte Carlo model, it is equipped with the proper three-cylinder two-stroke engine with 841cc displacement, featuring separate oil lubrication. As it should, the car also boasts a four-speed gearbox, a unique electrical system, and four-bolt wheels designed for quick tire changes during rally competitions.
