Description
The current owner, being acquainted with the previous owners, is confident that the car has not covered more than the 8,800 kilometers shown on the odometer. At the time of purchase, the car had some rust damage and the paint was in poor condition. A restoration was undertaken, during which the rust was welded, and the front fenders were replaced. The car was then taken to a well-reputed paint shop to be repainted in its original color. After the restoration was completed in 1997, the car has been barely used, primarily driven for inspections.
Now, approximately 25 years since its restoration, the PV has mostly been kept in a heated garage and remains in excellent condition.

Facts about the model
The first PV Sport edition emerged in 1958, shortly after the introduction of the PV 544. This version featured a stronger engine with dual carburetors, initially intended exclusively for the U.S. market. However, by the end of 1958, it became clear that this model could also be sold in the domestic market without affecting import duties in the USA.
Initially, these models were equipped with the B16B engine, producing 85 horsepower, but in August 1961, it was replaced by the new, five-bearing B18 engine. The PV 544 Sport was powered by the B18D engine, delivering 90 horsepower. In August 1965, the Sport's power was further increased to 95 horsepower. However, just a month later, Volvo announced that the model would be discontinued at the end of October 1965.
The last manufactured PV was a black 544 Sport, marking the end of an iconic series in Volvo's history.
