"The owner has recently purchased another classic car, and the Minor must be sold due to space constraints. The car starts and drives well, and we just ran a brief inspection and found that everything in the engine, brakes, electrics, and gearbox is in working order. There is some blue smoke when the engine is cold, indicating that it has not been driven much. There is no blue smoke when the engine is warm. Pop out side blinkers not working but rear/front blinker work fine."

Description

On September 20, 1948, the Morris Minor made its debut at the Earls Court Motor Show. Between 1948 and 1971, about 1.3 million copies were created under the guidance and design of Alec Issigonis. This car was sold new in Sweden in 1955, had seven owners, and was mostly driven in the middle of Sweden. It was repainted and had an older renovation, most likely in the late 1980s, with some older welding work in the floor. It is still in good shape today, with some minor blemishes and age-related paint flaws, as well as some patina chrome work. The interior is nice, with fine seats, headliner, and instrumentation; the carpets are worn in parts but appear to be original. The car starts simply and drives smoothly, with no weird noises or vibrations, and you see a lot of cheerful smiling faces as you drive past people and other motorists.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

Simple engineering that works well; during the test drive, I see nothing that needs to be fixed; I would recommend an oil change and a small service, and that's it. Nice new tires and an adequate spare wheel and jack in the boot.

  • Interior condition:

The interior is nice and clean and original, with nice seats, headliner, sun visors, and intrustmentation. As previously mentioned, the carpets are worn in parts, but this adds to its charm.

  • Exterior condition:

It had prior floor repairs and had been repainted, and it is still in good condition with no visible rust. If you look closely, you may spot some minor paint defects and two minor dents on the bonnet (see photographs). It also lacks two Morris logos on the upper edge of the side wings. Chrome work looks good with patina and oxidation.

  • General condition:

Charming "English Beetle," also known as a "Moggie" in the Great Britain. This car is fun to drive, easy to repair, and as cool as a Beetle while being less expensive.
