Description
The car comes from the Sandahls collection, which Bilweb Auctions AB will sell in early spring under four different themes; first, some of the family's popular workhorses, mainly Mercedes, Volkswagen, and a wildcard, then half a dozen exclusive fine Rolls-Royce and Jaguar cars, followed by a selection of early Ford cars and a Chevrolet from the childhood and youth of the automobile. Finally, there will be nine different award-winning and representative full-size American cars from 1959, the year when the tail fins were at their biggest.
Sandahls is today one of Sweden's largest family-owned transport companies. The company was founded in Värnamo in 1949. Older generations have collected about 40 cars under various themes in their private museum for many years. Bilweb Auctions AB has now been given the task and honor of selling these in four rounds in February and March this year.

Mechanical condition
The car, having been in museum storage since 2009 and last inspected on January 31, 2009, recently underwent a startup service. It starts easily, and the engine runs smoothly. The gearbox and brakes are in working order, but it's advisable to perform a brake review and a general service. Changing the cambelt and water pump before the next inspection is also recommended. Fortunately, there are no issues with pixelation on the displays.

Interior condition
The interior is complete and remarkably undamaged, owing to its low mileage, although I would recommend a thorough valet and seat shampooing. The seats, door cards, headliner, and carpets are all in good condition. While it lacks a fitted radio, it does feature heated seats. The dashboard is clean and well-maintained, with all the instruments in working order.

Exterior condition
The bodywork is in great condition given its age, with no rust concerns. However, there are minor dings, dents, and scratches present, including one on the left front wing, both front sills, and the rear driver's wing. The red paint remains vibrant and could be enhanced with a straightforward polish. The underbody is clean and free from rust. It's worth noting that the rear bumper is slightly loose on the passenger side corner and a cracked windscreen.

General condition
The Golf models 1 and 2 are experiencing price increases, making it a smart move to consider investing in a model 3 with low mileage and in nice condition. It's a practical summer car that can provide enjoyment for the entire family.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
