Description
This E-Type was bought new in July 1969 by a man from Skövde. The car was delivered in London by Henlys where it underwent it first service. A few months and about 1500 km later the car went via Holland to Sweden and registered here. Already on New Year's Eve 1969 the car was sold to a company in Stockholm and in March sold it to a private person in Nacka. During it Swedish life it’s been owned by some car dealers and private individuals to eventually end up under the protection of the current owner in 2012. The car is in a very good condition and has probably never been in a bad condition. The car has an older but good repaint.
The Jaguar E-Type was manufactured from 1961 to 1975. Series 2, as this copy is, was produced only in 1969 and 1970. 4855 copies were made from this model, making it the rarest body type of Series 2. Series 2 received a lot of updates, mainly due to US legislation. Some examples are that the covered headlights that had their hoods removed the tail lights were placed under the solid rear bumper, larger grill and blinkers are also characteristic of E-type series 2. Other things that were standard mounted were a collapsible steering column.

Jaguar E-Type tillverkades 1961 till 1975. Serie 2, som detta exemplar är, tillverkades endast 1969 och 1970. 4855 exemplar tillverkades av denna modell vilket gör den till den ovanligaste karosstypen av Serie 2. Serie 2 fick en hel del uppdateringar, främst på grund av amerikansk lagstiftning. Några exempel är att de täckta strålkastarna som fick sina kåpor borttagna, baklyktorna placerades under den heldragna bakre stötfångaren, större grill samt blinkers är också utmärkande för E-type serie 2. Annat som blev standardmonterat var rattlås och kollapsbar rattstång.

Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
