"A very nice copy from the fabled car manufacturer with only one sales office located on Kensington High Street in London."

Description

This is the eighth manufactured car from Bristol. The first three are considered prototypes. A few remain in the world of 487 manufactured between 1947 and 1950. This car has the chassis number 108 and came to Sweden at Bromma airfield on August 7th 1947. It was AB Hans Osterman who ordered the car and by chance, the aviation division also had a delivery coming to Sweden so it was a good idea to bring the cars here with a Bristol Freighter transport aircraft.
The current owner has owned the car for 36 years. The first 22 years were devoted to collecting parts and renovating the car. It’s made a few homage visits back to England, and mainly been driven to classic car meetings and pleasure trip.
The Bristol 400 was shown at the Geneva Motor Show in the spring of 1947.
It has a straight six-cylinder engine with hemispherical combustion chambers. The engine originates from the BMW 328 and the gearbox is a manual 4 speed.
Top speed is around 150 km/h.
