Description
Soon after, the new owner had it repainted in the silver metallic color it has today and further complemented the reupholstering of the interior. Over the past 30 years, the car has been used extremely sparingly—only driven 400 km—and has mostly been kept in the garage. Ongoing maintenance and repairs have been carried out over the years, as detailed under the section "Owner's Comment." The car comes with a binder containing extensive documentation, including inspection reports, service receipts, and more.

Facts about the model
The 190SL was introduced alongside its more celebrated sibling, the 300SL, at the New York Auto Show in February 1954. While the 300SL was a sports car developed from early 1950s racing vehicles, the 190SL was built on a shorter chassis derived from the family-oriented 180 model. Mercedes-Benz aimed at customers seeking a more refined and reliable sports car, better suited for long-distance driving than its British and Italian competitors.
The 190SL introduced several innovations that would later benefit more conventional family cars, such as a modern four-cylinder overhead-valve engine with an overhead camshaft and a single-pivot swing axle, which provided safer and more predictable handling characteristics.
The Mercedes-Benz W121 BII is a sports car that was manufactured between May 1955 and February 1963.
