Mechanical condition
The engine, transmission, and brakes are all in good working order. There is some leakage from the valve cover gaskets. The owner has no idea when the timing belt was replaced. The rear shock absorbers are in need of replacement.

Facts about the model
"Beta var den första Lanciamodell att konstrueras efter Fiats övertagande av företaget 1969. Den presenterades 1972 och hade utvecklats på mycket kort tid.
Motorn delades med Fiat men annars hade Lancia-konstruktörerna givits förvånansvärt fria händer. Framhjulsdrivna Beta hade tvärställd motor som var lutad 20 grader bakåt, skruvfjädring och skivbromsar runt om. Drivpaketet var på märkestypiskt vis upphängt i en hjälpram.
Det fanns en rad karossvarianter, först ut var fyrdörrars Berlina som följdes av Coupé, Spyder och HPE. Mittmotoriserade Montecarlo baserades också på Beta.
Beta var en vägsäker och rolig bil och förde på många sätt vidare märkets traditioner, även om många fnös och avfärdade den som en Fiat.
Beta såldes de första åren genom Fiat Svenska AB. 1977 tog Saab-Ana över som ett led i samarbetet mellan Saab och Lancia om kommande modellen 600/Delta.
Försäljningen gick inget vidare. Beta 2000 Berlina var en direkt konkurrent till Saab 99, Coupé och HPE kompletterade visserligen programmet men var så utpräglade nischbilar att bara ett fåtal hittade kunder.
De flesta bilarna var av 1977 och 1978 års modell men många stod kvar i lager i två-tre år.
Idag finns nästan tio procent av 1 224 sålda Lancia Beta kvar i registret men bara en handfull är i trafik.
Att hitta en Beta i bra skick är en utmaning men den är belönande kul att köra!"

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
