Volvo 855 GLT 2.5 — 1996

• Mechanical condition

  A virtually fully equipped car—everything works flawlessly, of course. The timing belt was recently replaced, along with the water pump, other belts, and all seals and gaskets in the engine. This has been done multiple times over the years for precautionary reasons. The engine bay is shining clean and fresh—almost like new.
  
  Listing everything that has been done to the car over the years would be extensive, but a detailed service log is available and included. As mentioned, the instrument cluster was replaced recently and reset, so the current mileage reads approximately 9000 km. The overall condition and impression of the car are closer to that figure than its actual mileage of 17,000 km.?

• Interior condition

  Very neat and well-preserved inside. New rubber mats are placed in the cabin and trunk. The carpet is in almost perfect condition. The front seats have been replaced—there was probably nothing wrong with the old ones, but a better pair was found and installed a few years ago. The woodwork is flawless, and the door panels, as well as all the nooks and crannies in the doors and trunk, are clean and well-maintained. The retractable cargo cover operates smoothly and is free from damage.

• Exterior condition

  The paint is sleek and glossy. There are, of course, some stone chips, but they are surprisingly few. A few minor blemishes are visible on the front, beneath the bumper. The lower edge has some scratches on the plastic, but they are not noticeable. The undercarriage maintains the same standard as the rest of the body. It has been carefully rust-proofed at regular intervals, with the inner wheel arches also being removed and rust-proofed from the inside. Whenever any part of the chassis has been replaced, it has been rust-proofed separately before installation.

• General condition

  A meticulously maintained and fully equipped GLT with the large 2.5-liter engine in this condition is something one might expect to see in the Volvo Museum/World of Volvo collection—but they don’t have one. Here’s your chance to acquire the car they missed.

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
