Erik Nilsson from Alvesta was known as a skilled entrepreneur and a passionate car enthusiast. Over the years, he owned many fine cars, with a particular fondness for Model A Fords in various configurations. He meticulously restored these cars together with his colleague Jonte Franzén, a talented mechanic and specialist in Model A Fords.
Sadly, Erik passed away last winter, and his remaining cars are now being sold on behalf of the estate. All the cars have been driven very sparingly since their restoration and have always been stored in a warm exhibition facility. This particular car joined the collection in 2020 and had already been fully restored by Jonte Franzén at that time.

Facts about the model
If the Model T put the world on wheels, the Model A sped things up. The Model A was the successor to Ford’s bestseller, the Model T. Introduced in November 1927 as the 1928 model, it came just in time. Competitors had caught up and surpassed Ford Motor Company with better, faster, and more comfortable cars. The Model A offered a modern car to the market, with a stronger engine, a proper gearbox, and a stylish design. The Model A was an instant success. By February 4, 1929, Ford had already sold 1 million units. By the end of July that same year, sales had doubled to 2 million cars. Production of the Model A ended in March 1932, after a total of 4,858,644 units were manufactured. According to the Swedish Model A Ford Association, about 1,200 Model As are registered in Sweden. The most common variant is the 1930-31 Ford Tudor. With plenty of newly manufactured parts available, keeping these cars running is relatively easy.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
