The Saab 99 in its original version. With only a few owners and just 80 000 km on the odometer, this one is still in excellent original condition.

"Lively, fresh, and solid car - almost like picking up a brand new Saab in 1970."

Description

The condition and driving experience reinforce the low mileage. Two owners until 1991 - three enthusiasts have taken care of the car since then. With the car also come original steel wheels with hubcaps, a couple of boxes of spare parts, new license plates, and even a rare original tool for the cylinder head.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The car runs very smoothly and nicely. Feels both lively and fresh in the engine, gear shifts, and controls. The clutch and battery have been recently replaced. Everything works, and the feeling in the seats, steering, controls, etc., indicates a well-maintained car and confirms the low mileage.

  • Interior condition:

There is a custom-made seat cover in the car, and underneath is the original upholstery, which is reported to be in good condition but with some small holes. The headliner is flawless, and overall, the interior gives a very nice impression of being almost new. The freshness extends even under the carpets and insulation. There are some minor issues like the color peeling off on the instrument panel's painted surfaces and a seam cracked near the center console - these are the only things worth mentioning in an interior that is otherwise in excellent condition. The trunk is also in very good condition, with the original spare wheel in place.

  • Exterior condition:

The car is mostly in its original paint and is very clean. The rear fenders have been repainted at some point, and there are some blisters and paint chipping in those areas, though it is limited. On the original parts, there are some touched-up stone chips, and a few spots have been polished through. The body is straight, clean, and undamaged, with very minimal rust, except for a small blister at a fender edge. The lower edges of the doors and the sills are in excellent condition. The wheels are in top-notch condition, and the original wheels and hubcaps are included. The engine bay is in very good condition, with the paint and metal well-preserved, even in hard-to-reach areas. The engine and other front components can be said to be in a well-preserved original condition.

  • General condition:

A largely untouched original car with low mileage, and over the years, it has mostly been serviced and maintained. If you want to experience how a new Saab 99 performed in 1970, this is the car to do it with.
