Description

Bilweb Auctions has been entrusted to sell the cars from the collection at Saab Memorial Hall. Sweden's most charming little Saab museum, it was founded by Norwegian Tron Bach, who moved to Sweden in 2011. After a busy life as a hotel owner, Tron settled on a small farm in Gullsjö, Vännäs. When he discovered a worn and dented Saab 92 behind the shed, an idea began to form. He would start a Saab museum to honor the Swedish cultural heritage of Saab, a car admired worldwide. Over the years that the museum has been open, over 1000 visitors have found their way to this small northern Swedish village's Saab museum. Tron feels that with age comes the right to now close his museum with pride. The museum will close just in time for the auction's conclusion. Until then, we recommend a visit. See more information at https://www.saabmemorialhall.info/.

This auction includes several cars that we have not been able to remove from the premises. To do so, one of the walls must be demolished. This will be done at the closing so buyers can pick up their cars. Please note that these vehicles have been stationary for some time. This means they may require more work to get them in order than a comparable model that has been driven regularly.

About the car:
The museum's finest car. It has only driven just over 12,000 miles. Purchased for the collection in 2016, it has been on display at the museum since then.
It needs a service and inspection at the vehicle inspection station before being driven on the road. Once approved by the inspection station, it will benefit from Swedish veteran car regulations. This means it will be exempt from taxes and only needs to be inspected by the vehicle inspection station every other year. It comes with a completely unused original spare wheel, as well as wheel tools and a jack.

Nice interior. Original rubber mats included. Equipped with a later model CD-radio, not tested.

Owner's comment

The most perfect car in the collection, in my opinion. It cost 155,000 Swedish kronor when the first owner bought it in 1991. It has had several owners, but always serviced by the same Saab mechanic. That mechanic is the former rally champion and Saab enthusiast Ture Karlsson. Ture has followed the car since it was new and thought it would fit well in my collection. I bought it in 2016 and added it to the collection.
