"Stylish coupe without any major remarks. Key ready and ready to drive home."

Description

The car was repainted in 1983 and has since been used only as a summer enthusiast vehicle. In 2022, it underwent its last inspection at the vehicle inspection authority (bilprovningen), and as a vintage car, it is now exempt from inspections. The owner has recently serviced the car, and it is in fully operational condition. It was also showcased at this year's Tjolöholm Classic Motor Show and could be seen at Bilwebauctions' booth. However, the original instruction manual is missing. A spare wheel and jack are included with the car.

Owner's comment

Since acquiring the car, you have gone through the entire brake system, replaced all the control arms in the front suspension, thoroughly inspected and serviced it to ensure everything is in working order.

Facts about the model

During the 1960s, Mercedes-Benz had a particular allure among the jetset of that time. Both John Lennon and George Harrison drove Mercedes cars, as did Elvis Presley. In Elvis's case, he owned a 1969 Mercedes 600.

The Mercedes-Benz W111 was produced between August 1959 and July 1971. In February 1961, the 220 SE coupe was introduced, followed by the cabriolet in September. The design of the coupe and cabriolet was a continuation of the sedan's lines, but with toned-down fins and softened curves, resulting in a body that remains highly sought after by car enthusiasts to this day.
