Description

This Type 2 bus was originally sold in the USA – the largest market for Westfalia’s clever camper vans. It later made its way to the Netherlands before arriving in Sweden in 2015. Partially restored with fresh paint and a new front panel, it retains most of its original equipment along with a collection of period-correct camping gear – all of which is included. It even comes with a rare Swedish-language Westfalia brochure.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The engine has been fully overhauled and rebuilt, now equipped with a single Weber carburetor. The original intake and carburetor are included. All other mechanical and electrical components are in excellent working order. The engine bay is exceptionally tidy.

  • Interior condition:

The front section has been refurbished with new carpets and reupholstered seats – all in near-top condition. A smart storage shelf has been installed under the dash. The original steering wheel is included.

In the living area, the interior is largely untouched and original, still holding a good standard. The floor mat and curtains are new, as is the canvas for the pop-up roof. The rest is in well-preserved, functional condition. There are some small tears and repairs in the vinyl, some wear on panels, and rubber seals that have aged and dried out. Overall, however, it’s very well preserved.

The cabinets contain original accessories such as a curtain for the rear window, mosquito nets, and more. Included with the vehicle are a camping table, chairs, kitchen utensils, stove, and various other items.

  • Exterior condition:

Upon arrival in Sweden, some minor work was needed. The renovation was limited to replacing the front panel and front sills – the rest of the bodywork was solid and in great shape. All it needed was a fresh coat of paint, which is now in excellent condition and virtually free from any blemishes. The wheels, bumpers, and entire exterior match the same high standard.

  • General condition:

A true enthusiast vehicle that still invites use just as it was intended—perfect for both showcasing at meets and heading out on longer adventures. To reach absolute top condition, the interior could benefit from a bit of refreshing. Fortunately, there's currently a good supply of newly manufactured parts available for Westfalia models.
