Description
This BMW Z3 was purchased by the current owner in Stockholm in March 2021 as an impulse buy because it was right-hand drive. The owner thought it would be fun to drive on the small roads back home. It was driven home and taken into the garage, and the Z3 then ended up parked at the back among the owner's other cars. There is no documentation for the car, but it appears to have had a tough life with various damages here and there. The car is in need of renovation and an overhaul of the engine, brakes, and more. Currently, the engine overheats when driving, so it is now stationary.

Barely test-driven at the time of the photo shoot as the engine overheats. The engine needs a thorough overhaul, including everything this entails, as well as a substantial start-up service and an inspection of the rest of the car.

The interior is worn and slightly dirty. The driver's seat backrest has been repaired, see picture.

Exterior condition
The exterior of the car is in a worn condition. There is rust in areas such as hinges and fender edges, but also in other places, as shown in pictures. The body has a number of small dents, bumps, and scratches, see pictures. The paint is in a worn state. The condition of the soft top indicates that it should be replaced. The side mirrors are broken but appear to have been repaired with putty. The car is equipped with new tires in 2023.

Facts about the model
The Z3 was introduced as a response, or as part of a sweeping trend, following Mazda's success with the Miata (especially in the USA), which demonstrated a demand for a classic, affordable, and straightforward two-seater sports car in the model lineup. The engine options were numerous, depending on the market, and in the most important market, the USA, models were exclusively offered with a classic inline six-cylinder engine. In the European market, as with the auctioned car, the four-cylinder models were also sold. The Z3 was manufactured in a newly built factory outside Spartanburg in South Carolina, marking it as the first BMW model to be produced exclusively outside of Germany.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
