"An excellent restoration job covering the engine, body, and brakes. The interior remains in very good original condition and has not been restored, which has absolutely not been necessary."

Description

This car has had only three owners. This can be verified through extensive documentation, including numerous inspection reports. The current owner discovered the car in a barn, where it had been stored for many years. It had fallen out of the registry and was re-registered following an inspection in connection with the restoration.

The car was largely rust-free and featured a very well-preserved interior. The floor pan was in good condition, and no welding work was required. The body was completely disassembled and repainted in its beautiful original color, code 46. The engine was fully dismantled and rebuilt, while the gearbox was left untouched as it did not require refurbishment.

The entire brake system is new, and nothing has been left to chance. The car was inspected and re-registered by the current owner in July 2020, and has been used by the owner since then.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

As previously described, everything has been either restored or replaced. All instruments and other technical equipment are in good working order. Newly painted original wheels fitted with tires from 2019 that have only covered a few thousand kilometers. The spare wheel is also new and mounted on a freshly painted original rim. Keys are included, with all locks in working condition, as well as the jack.

  • Interior condition

The interior is in very fine original condition. The upholstery is clean and well-presented, and the headliner, panels, and carpets are all in good original condition.

  • Exterior condition

Externally, there is little to fault. The only deviation from original specification we can note is that the trim around the windshield lacks the chrome inserts that were originally fitted. New glass has been installed. The chrome details are in excellent condition, with most of them newly replaced.

  • General condition

If you’re looking for an exceptionally well-restored Volvo, you should take a closer look at this car. Everything has been done to a very high standard and with great attention to detail—this is a car that attracts plenty of admiring (and envious) glances.
