Description

It was imported from the USA in 2007 by a recognized skilled mechanic in Taberg. Since the car has remained free from rust, it was repainted and underwent mechanical restoration as well as receiving new upholstery. It is still in fine condition and has only been sparingly driven during the summer.

Facts about the model

The MGB Roadster MK3 is a classic British sports car manufactured by British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successor, British Leyland. The MK3 model was produced from 1972 to 1974 and was the final iteration of the MGB Roadster series before production ceased in 1980.

The MK3 Roadster is known for its timeless design and charming character. It retains the iconic silhouette and design elements that made the MGB series so popular, including its low profile, long hood, and rounded shapes. However, the MK3 model had some minor design changes compared to its predecessors, including a slightly higher front to meet new crash safety requirements.

Under the hood, the MGB Roadster MK3 featured a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing around 95 horsepower. While it wasn't the most powerful sports car on the market, it offered a fun and engaging driving experience, especially with the top down.

The MGB Roadster MK3 was also known for its simple but functional interior, with seating for two passengers and basic convenience features. Its open-top design made it a popular choice for those seeking an authentic convertible experience.

Despite the relatively short-lived production of the MGB Roadster MK3, it has continued to be a sought-after model among car enthusiasts and collectors. Its classic design, charming personality, and cult status make it an iconic representative of British automotive history and a cherished gem in classic car circles around the world.
