Description
The first owner kept the car until his passing, after which it was sold to a collector. The car is believed to have undergone an older restoration, likely carried out in the early 2000s. According to the seller, it has had three owners in Belgium.
Specification includes:
Group 1 engine with twin Weber 44 IDF carburettors
Approx. 150 hp
Rocket gearbox
Quick-ratio steering rack
Original 7.5” RS alloy wheels
Wilwood brakes
The car was acquired by a UK-based collector in 2018, where it remained part of a private collection. The current owner, a close friend of the previous keeper, purchased and imported the car in 2024.
It was registered and inspected on 2024-08-23, with inspection valid until 2026-07-31. Following the next inspection, the car will become inspection-exempt for life.
The car is highly presentable and an absolute pleasure to drive — it feels tight, planted, and handles like it’s on rails. The engine is strong and delivers plenty of power. While the mileage cannot be fully verified, it is believed to be around 102,908 km.
Recent work includes a full service and carburettor tuning. The car also comes with an additional steering wheel and jack.

Mechanical condition
Engine starts immediately, just needs a few minutes to warm up.
2.0 OHC Group 1 tuned engine with twin Weber 44 IDF carbs, sharper cam, and larger valves. Fitted with a Rocket close-ratio gearbox, quick rack steering, 7.5” RS alloys, and Wilwood brakes. Drives tight and responsive with strong performance and solid braking. Only note: temperature gauge not working (likely sender/thermostat). Ready to drive and enjoy. -
Interior condition
Black interior is clean and tidy. Front bucket seats are in good condition, while the rear seat foam has slightly deteriorated, causing some wrinkling on the fabric.
Rear left trim over the wheel arch needs refitting. Door cards, headliner, and carpets are all in good condition. Dashboard is well preserved with original gauges. Fitted with a 4-speed gearbox, along with an electric kill switch and fire extinguisher. Some minor wear to the silver trim around the dashboard. -
Exterior condition
Bodywork is straight with good panel fit, featuring the original X-Pack body kit with embossed Ford logos as factory fitted. No major rust issues noted — only minor blistering on the edges of both doors. Paintwork is clean, bright, and in very good condition, with a few small paint chips on the right wing (see pictures). The underbody and boot floor are solid, with only very light surface rust around the sill seams — nothing serious. Clean engine bay with no signs of oil leaks.

General condition
These cars are highly desirable and iconic among enthusiasts and collectors. They rarely come to market — especially genuine X-Pack examples. What makes them stand out is that they remain hugely enjoyable to drive, while still being relatively simple and affordable to maintain.
