Description
The car spent its life in New Mexico, USA, and arrived in Sweden twelve years ago in generally well-preserved, used condition. It was purchased by the Härnösand Car Museum, which funded a basic repaint due to sun fading. The car had this color when it came from the U.S., but was originally black. The interior had been reupholstered and the soft top replaced earlier. The dashboard has cracks and the carpets are missing.
The car runs well but has an exhaust leak, and as mentioned, it has not yet been registered in Sweden. The seller will notify the Swedish Transport Agency, and the buyer will then carry out the registration inspection with a power of attorney from the seller. After this, the vehicle will be officially transferred from the seller to the buyer.
For foreign buyers, the U.S. registration certificate (Title) and customs documentation are included for registration in the buyer’s home country.

Mechanical condition
The car starts easily and feels normal on the road. There is some rattling and leakage from the exhaust system.

Interior condition
Untouched, worn original condition – see photos. Door panels and carpets are original but worn. Seats are uncovered and look good. Dashboard is in decent condition but has cracks on the top. The convertible top works but moves slowly up and down – it needs lubrication or servicing.

Exterior condition
The car is in normal used condition, with a basic repaint. The paint is slightly wavy in some areas and thin on certain edges, but overall it still looks decent. There are scratches and wear on the trim. Rust is present around the floor drains, and there is a rust hole in the floor that need to be addressed.

A perfect car for summer cruising trips. Usable and durable condition. Looks decent but needs some servicing and cosmetic touch-ups.

Facts about the model
At the time, Cadillac offered two main model lines – the Series 62 and the De Ville. The convertible belonged to the more affordable Series 62, but was equipped similarly to the De Ville models. In 1962, the new price was $5,588, and a total of 16,800 units of this model were produced.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
