A fine example of an 80's Escort XR3i, with only a few meticulous owners who have taken good care of it. The buyer of the car in 2012 has had a service workshop and maintained it for the previous owner since she bought it in 2006. Since 2012, it has only driven a few miles per year and most likely has not driven more than 92 000 km in total.

Mechanical condition
Runs excellently and has been well-serviced. Everything works without any issues. The timing belt, valve seals, and stainless steel exhaust system were replaced in 2015, and the car has only driven about 500 km since then.

The original interior is in very good condition with minimal signs of use and wear.

Exterior condition
The original paint is in good condition with only a few touch-ups, such as around the fuel tank cap and the right rear fender edge. There are a couple of small dents on the top of the front fenders. The new convertible top is in excellent condition and works perfectly. The wheels and tires are without any issues. There are no visible signs of rust.

General condition
A lovely summer car worth preserving, there are not many left in this great condition. The Escort is inexpensive to own as it is tax-exempt and insurance costs around 130 SEK per month.

This car is from the fourth generation, out of six, of Ford Escort. They were built between 1986 and 1990.
The first Escort rolled out of Ford's Dagenham factory in England in 1967 and the last one in the year 2000. Up until 1980, the Escort was rear-wheel drive, but in 1980, the first front-wheel drive car in Ford's long series of Escorts was introduced. It came in different body styles such as 2/4-door, estate, van (Express), cabriolet, four-door sedan (Orion), as well as different versions designed for racing purposes.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
