Volvo S70 R — 1998

• Mechanical condition

  It's quite lovely and well-kept. Much has changed over the years, and the evidence is in the form of reasonably high receipts.
  Vacuum hoses, strut bearings, rubber seals, gaskets, exhaust systems, catalytic converters, and other components are nearly new.
  One minor feature is that the lamp for the lambda probe occasionally lights up; the probe is replaced and functions normally. Troubleshooting in the workshop has shown no results in resolving the minor enigma.

• Interior condition

  Consistently really nice, highly maintained, and new unused R-mats are in the boot. The leather on the driver's seat has some wear, but nothing is cracked. Steering wheel replaced, original R-steering wheel with alcantara inlay included.
  
  Luggage compartment - Carpet and upholstery in excellent condition, spare wheels and all tools on site - unused
  
  Engine compartment Is neat and tidy, and significantly nicer than you may anticipate after 30,000 km. Very modern and altered, yet always properly serviced. The crossbar between the struts and the valve cover with carbon fibre inlay is optional.

• Exterior condition

  Overall, it looks great. On closer inspection, a little clear coat of paint damage can be seen on the back bumper, there are a few stone chips, and the top of the rear-view mirror driver's door is sun-bleached / matted. But, overall, remarkably well preserved for its 30,000 miles. The driver's door was repainted after an early damage, however there is a tiny tint variation.  Over the years, the wheels have developed slightly chafed edges.
  The grill and lamps have been replaced with those from the C70, but all other parts, including the turn signal inserts, are brand new.
  There are small bubbles in the rear wing and the paint in front of the inner door step is marked, but nothing out of the ordinary.

  A great example of a first-year model.

• At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
• During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.

Important to know before placing your bids!

• Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
• When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
• If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
• If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
• Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
• For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
