"This model is unusually well-kept."

Description

A black Taunus is unique because this colour was normally reserved for taxis. In truth, this car was originally intended to be a taxi, but it was instead sold to a private individual. The initial owner from Grums purchased it from a Ford dealer in Säffle in 1966, and he and his wife continued to own it until 2014. The current owner has gone over the car mechanically and rebuilt the cylinder head and carburetor. A survivor who appears to have led a peaceful and tranquil existence. Mileage is unknown, although it appears that not many miles have been accumulated throughout the years.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition

V6 engine with four-speed manual transmission and column shift. The engine operates smoothly and quietly. Gears effortlessly with no play in the gear driver. Nothing to complain about when it comes to mechanics.
The cylinder heads have been completely rebuilt, the piston rings have been changed, and the carburetor has been completely rebuilt. Switched to a switchless ignition system. 12V alternating current

  • Interior condition

Upholstery in fabric and vinyl in excellent condition; faultless original upholstery is quite rare in a car of this calibre. Nice and complete headliner. The foil with wood imitation on the door sides has a small damage, but the doors card are otherwise whole, straight, and lovely. The parcel shelf is complete and undamaged. There are no signs of moisture damage anywhere. The dashboard cushioning is whole and undamaged. Rubber mat on the floor with no damage or significant wear.

  • Exterior condition

It's a nice, well-kept car. At some point, it was repainted. It's never had rust problem, and the only repairs discovered are two little holes in the boot. The bumpers are in perfect condition and has not been damaged in any way. Over the years, there has been a lot of tectylating on the underbody. The original colour is black, which was a fairly unusual colour for these models.

  • General condition

A unique blend of pristine upholstery, nearly undamaged body, and black colour. The original condition is mostly intact.
