Description

The motorcycle's frame number is 6081002 and its engine number is 4631279. It was originally sold by Stigs Cykel & Sport in Floda for 3035kr (including VAT) to a local resident in Stenkullen. Unfortunately, the new owner had an accident that resulted in bent front forks after only riding the bike for 100+ km. The insurance company provided a payout for a new motorcycle, and Stig Sport & Cykel repurchased the damaged motorcycle from the insurance company, replaced the front forks, and kept it in their collection. As a result, the motorcycle has a low mileage today. The only noticeable repair is a soldered fin on the cylinder head (please refer to the picture).

Since then, the motorcycle has been owned by a collector and enthusiast, and to our knowledge, it is 100% original, making it a truly one-of-a-kind motorcycle.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

The motorcycle is kept in the owner's collection and is started a few times each year for review, but since it is entirely original and has never been ridden, everything remains as it was back in the 1970s.

  • Interior condition:

    Nice original vinyl seat

  • Exterior condition:

The paint and chrome work on this motorcycle are wonderfully preserved in their original condition, with very minor age-related marks such as a slight dent near the petrol cap and a small imperfection at the top edge of the front fork. It is astonishing that the motorcycle remains in such great condition despite being 53 years old. The chrome wheels are in excellent condition and the tires are in good shape.

  • General condition:

With its unique history and careful ownership, it is likely that this Zündapp is the lowest mileage motorcycle of its kind in Sweden, and its exceptional condition makes it a must-have for any collector.

Facts about the model

The Zündapp 125 KS was a popular motorcycle produced by the German manufacturer Zündapp in the 1970s. It was designed as a lightweight and nimble bike that was easy to handle, making it ideal for commuting and touring. The KS in the name stands for "Kurz-Schwinge," which translates to "short swing arm" in English.

The 125 KS was powered by a two-stroke, single-cylinder engine that produced 12 horsepower, allowing it to reach a top speed of around 100 km/h, giving riders plenty of flexibility on the road. The motorcycle featured a telescopic front fork suspension and a swingarm rear suspension, which provided a comfortable ride even on rough roads.
