This Rover has been driven in Italy for a large part of its life and has therefore been very well preserved from rust.
It arrived in Sweden in 2005 and has been owned by enthusiastic owners who have driven it sparingly since then. There is a lot of documentation on service and inspections.

Mechanical condition
The car has recently been serviced and is essentially working flawlessly. However, the fuel gauge and power windows do not always work and may occasionally malfunction. The AC has not been tested but needs to be refilled.

Lovely original leather interior in great condition with few signs of wear.

Exterior condition
Nice paint with some cosmetic imperfections, scratches on the rear hatch and roof. The rubber trims and paint on the bumpers have scratches front and rear. A couple of minor dents on the rear fender and door panel. Wheels and tires in great condition.

Luxury enthusiast car at a budget price. A wonderful road companion for summer outings that draws well-deserved attention.

Facts about the model
Rover 800 was the name of Rover's largest model series, introduced in 1986. It replaced the 3500 model and had been developed in collaboration with Honda, whose Legend model was virtually identical to the 800. A modified model was marketed as Sterling in the USA.
The engines available were shared with the Legend and ranged from 2.0 to 2.7 liters in displacement, with either four or six cylinders. Initially, the model was only offered as a four-door sedan, which was supplemented by a five-door hatchback in 1988, and a coupe version was introduced in the early 1990s. In 1990, Mondial Bilimport AB began importing the 800 series, including the Sterling model. The next facelifted model series had a characteristic Rover grille for the time. In 1996, another update was introduced, and sales resumed in Sweden, albeit in small numbers. Production of the 800 ended in 1999, with over 300,000 units produced. The model did not have a proper replacement, although the smaller 75 model targeted the same audience.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
