Description

This boat was ordered in 1915 at Ängholmens Båtvarf in Gothenburg by the manager of Swedish Match maker Harald Holmberg. The boat's name was then Trollet and did not have the rear structure.
The other owner was civil engineer Stellan Carlberg Stockholm who owned the boat which has now been named Matchless 1920.
The third owner was Mathias Hallgren, CEO of Swedish match maker and the man behind Solstickan. He owned the boat between 1925 and 1928.
Director Alfred Löfgren owned the boat between 1928-1930.
Bank director Erik Dahlberg bought the boat in 1930 and owned it until 1972, during which time the boat got its stern built.
After that, civil engineer Kennert Lind took over the helm and owned it until 1984.
Gunnar and Ritva in Solna then took over and eventually it ended up in Våxtorp where the estate of Roland Johansson sells it.
The boat is 9.6 m long and 1.9 m wide and weighs 3.2 tons and is built of Honduran mahogany, the designer is Janne Jacobsson, manager at Ängholmen's boatyard.
The engine that sits in the boat is an Albin E4 of 28 hp from 1934 and it comes with an extra Penta engine which according to information should be the original engine
It also comes with a pallet filled with parts for this boat, engraved glass, canopy, flags, lifebuoy, fenders, very recorded history, etc. etc.
The trailer on which the boat is placed is included in the auction.

Important to know before placing your bids!
  • Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
  • When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
  • If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
  • If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
  • Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
  • For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
