A Peugeot 404 that uniquely feels like new. According to the meter, it has only been driven 1 2,460 km, which matches its condition. This is an original car with nice paintwork that needs some minor improvements. This car has some small rust blisters behind the front bumper and on the front of the left-hand sill. It is has also been fitted with a roof rack at sometime. Otherwise, it feels remarkable like new. It still has its Michelin X - which match the original ones.
The interior looks the same as it did when it was new. All interior trim, seats, upholstery and head liner are in amazing condition. The only place interior that shows any wear is the aluminum kick plate on the door sills
Underneath the hood is the same original condition, with only some light oil moisture. You can hardly imagine this car has had 3 owners, last inspected and MOTed in 2007

Nice original paint, some smaller rust bubbles in the plate behind the bumper, and on the left sill. Some light scratches in the paint that would likely be polished out. A smaller dent on the front bumper, which is barely visible.

Facts about the model
The Peugeot 404 was premiered in May 1960 and was first manufactured in Socheaux. This was a French family car - a classic sedan with simple mechanics and lots of comfort. The body was designed by Pininfarina and the construction was straightforward with rear-wheel drive, rigid rear axle and screw suspension. Underneath the hood, one of the petrol engines set between 60 and 90 hp, or 58 hp diesel engine.
The Peugeot 404 was available as four-door sedan, coupe, wagon, pickup and convertible. 404 were manufactured until 1975 with only minor changes over the years. In Africa, 404 have always been loved for its durability and were actually manufactured in Nigera until 1998.
Peugeot 404 became a top seller in Sweden with around 50,000 copies sold.
