"One of the 1950s top sellers ready for renovation. An complete and untouched bike that has been in a barn for many years"

Description

These 250 models from Monark were popular machines. This renovation object is almost complete - the engine does not go around.
Monark was at one time Northern Europe's largest manufacturer of two-wheelers.
This monarch is originally from the now closed car museum in Gillstad, outside Lidköping, where a radio dealer has taken old vehicles in exchange since the 1950s.

Facts about the model

Swedish Monark achieved major sales successes with its 250 models manufactured between 1951 and 1953. Very much thanks to the 11.5 hp ILO and four-speed box.
German ILO in Munich manufactured engines to a number of motorcycle manufacturers like Bücker, Maico, Monark and Tornax. Here in Sweden, Monark was at the time Northern Europe's largest manufacturer of bikes, mopeds and motorcycles. During periods, up to 1,000 two-wheelers were manufactured per day.
