Facts about the model
Mercedes snygga R129 tillverkades mellan 1989 och 2001 – och blev snabbt en värdig motståndare till såväl BMW:s 8-serie som Porsche 911. Mercedes-Benz nya SL byggde på E-klass och hade revolutionerande teknik som uppfällbar störtbåge och aktiva stötdämpare. SL500 hade V8 på 326hk men på Mercedes Benz-vis kom SL med en rad motorer – varav SL600 med den stora V12:an på 5,9 liter från S-klass var den absolut största som gick att beställa. Instegsmodellen var SL280 med 6-cylindrig motor på 2,9 liter och 190 hk.
