"Undramatic driving experience with engine, gearbox, brakes, and steering working in harmony in a familiar and easy-to-drive manner."

Description

The car was registered for road use in Sweden in February 1973, the same year the new computerized vehicle registry was introduced. Whether it was imported and sold through GM's Swedish general agency or brought in as a private import remains unclear. The speedometer is calibrated in km/h and, according to the current owner, shows reasonably accurate speed when compared to GPS measurements. The most recent and final approved inspection was carried out on 2017-05-03. The car has changed hands a few times over the past 20 years, and the current owner purchased it in 2022—but is now looking for a full-size car, specifically a 1965 Chevrolet Impala.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

In the video, a few exhaust pops can be heard, but the owner has since adjusted the ignition and the recently installed Edelbrock carburetor. Otherwise, everything works as it should, including the manual soft top—which, on an older car, is often a more trouble-free option compared to electrically or hydraulically operated ones.

  • Interior condition:

The vinyl upholstery is reportedly original, with a previous seam repair on the driver’s seat. Good condition carpet, dashboard, and details. The sound system features various speakers, all installed without altering the interior.

  • Exterior condition:

The car has been previously repainted in its current red color, likely over the original blue metallic, which is visible under the rear seat. The shade differs slightly between the right door and rear fender, and some bubbles are visible in front of the rear wheels on both rear fenders. The soft top and top cover are intact and in good condition. Genuine Centerline wheels with newer tires.

  • General condition:

Road-ready and representative in original condition, in a pleasant and attractive state with just a few minor exterior notes.
