Description
A good and well-maintained Ford Escort from the first year model with this body and front-wheel drive. Since it was new, the car has been owned by a sibling couple who have cherished it.
It has been serviced on a regular basis by a Ford authorised workshop. The underbody has also been treated, and the rear wing edges have been repaired from surface rust. The car has been well maintained. The metre has gone around one lap, thus the Ford has been driven for 150, 000 km, but based on the condition, it appears and feels like it has only driven 50, 000 km. The cambelt was replaced on April 25, 1988, therefore it's time to do it again.

Facts about the model
För vardagsbilisten så fanns Escort Mk III ursprungligen i två modeller L och GL.
Detta var den första årsmodellen med denna kaross och tvärställd motor med framhjulsdrift.
Efter något år utökades modellutbudet med GLS och senare även med Ghia.
Alla dessa fyra modeller hade samma 1596-cc motor med förgasare och 8 ventiler. Cylinderdiametern var 80 mm och slaglängden 79,5 mm. Motorn gav 79 hk vid 5800 rpm och det maximala vridmoment,125 Nm, nåddes vid 3000 rpm. Alla fyra modellerna kom med 3 eller 5 dörrar och skillnaderna mellan de olika varianterna var i huvudsak kosmetiska.
L och GL var enklast utrustade men GLS hade lättmetallfälgar som standard medan Ghia versionen hade extra kromlister runt strålkastare och bakljus och en smal ädelträlist inlagd i dörrens insida och även en digital klocka monterad i taket bredvid backspegeln.
