Description
This car has been driven on salt-free roads since it was new in Northern Norway until 2020. It was imported by a man living in Sigtuna, and the car was registered and inspected in Sweden in January 2020. According to the current owner, the Citroen has never had any rust repairs. It was treated with undercoating in Norway. When the car arrived in Sweden, the coolant hoses and drive belts were replaced, and the Citroen received an oil service. The headlights were replaced as the old ones were not good enough, and the car was also equipped with new tires at that time. The original starter motor was problematic, so it was also replaced. The right front fender was straightened and repainted about two years ago, and the front bumper received cosmetic improvements and painting at the same time. Some documents in Norwegian are included. The odometer currently reads 69,668 km. The car has been inspected and approved by the vehicle inspection in April 2024.

Mechanical condition
The engine and drivetrain are in good condition. The brakes work as they should. The car's hydraulic system functions properly, see the video. The fuel gauge is broken. The upper mounts for the trunk lid gas springs are broken.

Interior condition
The interior is in somewhat worn condition. There are cracks in the plastic parts and the dashboard, and some details are missing or broken. The fabric of the headliner has started to come loose from its backing, and there is also a small hole in the fabric. See pictures for details.

Exterior condition
The paint is somewhat dull. The right front fender and front bumper have been repainted and have since acquired new scuff marks. There is a touch-up on the right rear corner of the roof. There are a few small dents and scratches in several places. The rear bumper has a “milky” appearance in its color. The lower right corner of the windshield is also a bit “milky.” A small trim piece is missing from the lower rear corner of the left rear window. See pictures for details.

Facts about the model
The Citroën CX is a car model that was manufactured from 1974 to 1991, with a total production of 1,170,645 units. The sedan model was produced from 1974 to 1989, and the wagon model was produced until 1991. The comfort of the CX was considered to be in a class of its own compared to its contemporaries.
The CX featured a subframe that connected the front and rear wheel suspensions. The body was then mounted with rubber cushions against the subframe. Most CX variants had DIRAVI steering, which was developed for its predecessor, the Citroën SM. This meant that the steering wheel and wheels had no mechanical connection; instead, hydraulic pressure provided the link. This system offered a formidable road feel and self-centering based on speed. A flat tire at high speed on a front wheel would only be noticeable by reduced comfort and road grip, with no pulling or jerking of the steering wheel.
The brakes and suspension were integrated into the high-pressure hydraulic system. The CX was also sold in Sweden. It came with 2.0-, 2.2-, 2.4-, and 2.5-liter engines, with and without turbo, as well as a diesel version.
