Description

The current owner purchased the car in the mid-1970s and meticulously and thoroughly restored it. Since then, it has been driven on occasional short trips over the years. It has also been displayed at the Åtvidaberg Car Museum for many years. It has now been retrieved from the museum, and a new battery has been installed. The car started immediately and was driven a few miles before being photographed. Extensive documentation accompanies the car. Additionally, there are side windows and a convertible top available for installation in inclement weather.

Facts about the model

The Austin 7 was manufactured between 1923 and 1939. At the time, it was a bestseller in the British market. A significant number of units were also exported, and the car was licensed and produced in several countries. For example, BMW's first car, the Dixie, was essentially a licensed version of the Austin 7.

The introduction of the Austin 7 meant that many ordinary Britons could afford a car. It is still highly appreciated and cherished domestically and has sometimes been referred to as the English T-Ford.

The Austin 7 is known for its robust and simple construction. Additionally, the car's compact dimensions made it a perfect fit for the narrow roads of the British countryside.

Today, Austin 7 cars are considered irresistibly charming and are, for many, the epitome of what a true vintage car should look like.

The new owners will be able to enjoy a meticulously restored Austin 7, which will celebrate its 90th anniversary next year.
