Description

The Cadillac was imported by TA Motor AB in Luleå. It arrived in Sweden in 1999 and was registered and inspected in the year 2000.
According to legend, the car once belonged to the founder of the Cadillac Club in the USA.
The Series 61 was Cadillac’s entry-level model, priced to attract buyers who had previously driven more modest vehicles.

The car is now being sold from an estate. The late owner, who acquired the vehicle in 2005, was a classic car enthusiast and resident of Luleå.

This is a remote auction. The photos and information regarding the vehicle and its technical condition have been provided by the heirs. Some details are based on notes left by the deceased and registry searches.
BWA has not inspected the car in person.

Condition

  • Mechanical condition:

Equipped with a 5.7-liter (346 cu in) flathead V8 engine.
Three-speed manual transmission with column shifter.
A new 6-volt starter battery was installed in 2025.
The engine has been started after five years of inactivity, so a full service inspection is recommended before putting the car back on the road.

  • Interior condition:

The interior is in used condition, with wear on the seat upholstery. Original floor mat shows signs of wear – see photos for details.
The headliner is in good condition.
The steering wheel was sent to the U.S. in 2011 and professionally restored by a specialist to perfect condition, at a cost of approximately 7,500 SEK.
A thorough interior detailing would significantly improve the overall presentation.

  • Exterior condition:

Used condition. Some areas show surface rust, cracking, and paint loss – see photos for details. The underside is in good condition.

  • General condition:

A solid driver in good used condition with potential.
We see an opportunity for the buyer to significantly improve the car’s overall condition with some effort and relatively simple means.
