"Rare in black color."

Description

The current owner saw this Porsche in a car magazine in the 80s where it was mentioned that the car had undergone a complete restoration. By chance, he came across this exact car later and purchased it in 1991. The model name "911s" is written on the hood, but it is a 911. The car was previously serviced at a Porsche specialist on Söder Mälarstrand in Stockholm, but in recent years, the owner has performed the service himself. In the last two years, a considerable amount of money has been invested in this car. It has received a new fuel tank, new fuel pump and filter, surface treatment of certain engine bay parts, and a new trunk mat, among other things. The Porsche has also been treated with rust protection from Tuff Kote Dinol. The car has been equipped with Weber carburetors, and they have been tuned and optimized at Autokinito in Uppsala. The car has been primarily used during the summer for various vintage car events and even for a trip to Kristianstad for a Råbelövstävling (Retro event). With the car, a car cover, an early 911 instruction book, rearview mirror, and ventilation grilles are included. The car is freshly serviced and inspected and is equipped with 5 1/2-inch Fuchs wheels with new tires.

Facts about the model

The Porsche 911 was developed as a successor to the 356, and its premiere took place at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1964. Initially, it was intended to be named Porsche 901 after its internal number, but Peugeot, which held the rights to three-digit combinations with a zero in the middle in France, objected. So instead, it became the 911. Mechanically, Porsche stuck to its previous formula with an air-cooled boxer engine at the rear. The design, on the other hand, was created by Ferdinand "Butzy" Porsche, the son of the founder Ferdinand Porsche.

In 1967, the 911 had significant milestones, with the introduction of the more powerful S version, the debut of the iconic Fuchs wheels, and the Targa model. It was also the year when the new entry-level model, the 911T with 110 hp, was launched – making the 911E the mid-range model. To complicate matters, the USA version, 911T, was essentially an E model with emission controls, hence producing 125 hp instead of 140 hp.

In September 1969, the flat-six engine was enlarged to 2.2 liters, and in 1973, the bumpers were integrated to meet American regulatory requirements.

Regardless of the model year, the Porsche 911 is now one of the most popular classic cars in the automotive world. However, for many enthusiasts, the early cars in their original form, like this one, are considered the most beautiful.
