Facts about the model
Jordan Grand Prix var ett Formel 1-team som tävlade åren 1991 till 2005. Teamet är uppkallat efter affärsmannen och grundaren Eddie Jordan. Han var känd för att ha en "rock and roll"-attityd som gav färg och karaktär till Formel 1 under 1990-talet.
Jordan 197 var bilarna som teamet använde under 1997-års Formel 1-säsong.
Dessa kördes av Ralf Schumacher (en yngre bror till Michael Schumacher) och Giancarlo Fisichella som båda var inne på sin första säsong med teamet.
Ralf var tämligen ny inom F1 och Fisichella hade bara en delsäsong med Minardi bakom sig.
Det sågs som en chansning från Eddie Jordans sida att rekrytera två unga oerfarna förare för att ersätta Rubens Barrichello och Martin Brundle. Efter en inte allt för bra säsong 1996 verkade laget återupplivat inför 1997. Bilen gav Jordan chansen att på allvar utmana Williams, Ferrari, Benetton och McLaren. Efter ett par tävlingar för att komma igång tog Schumacher och Fisichella poäng vid nästan varje lopp och tog tre pallplaceringar. Fisichella var särskilt imponerande och det var strid bakom kulisserna om hans tjänster 1998 mellan Jordan och Benetton. Bilen var också känd för sin distinkta klargula färg. Bilarna hade också en orm målad på vardera sida av noskonen med kluven tunga som sträckte sig bakåt runt sidorna av förarens cockpit. När Grand Prix hölls i länder som inte tillät tobaksreklam märktes bilarna "Bitten & Hisses" istället för "Benson & Hedges". 1997 var en säsong med blandade resultat för Jordan-teamet som slutade femma totalt.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
