Cadillac Eldorado V8 5.4 Hydra-Matic — 1954

Last Mot/Inspection passed without remarks never needs another inspection as it’s over 50 years old. Good condition.
Positive Remarks:
Eldorado in original design with original engine and automatic gearbox, interior partially reupholstered in leather in its original colors, Eldorado is repainted in original blue color (Azure Blue) outside and inside the 1980´s by the then owner. The car comes with the original invoice and receipts when the car was ordered new with delivery June 8, 1954 to Mrs. K.C. Miller in Texas. The car was owned by the same family up until the late 1990´s then sold Michael Martone in New York The current owner bought in 2003 only ever 3 owners.
I am the only owner in Sweden and have had Eldorado for about 15 years and it has been in traffic all the time. The Swedish Cadillac Club inspected Eldorado in May 2004 and Eldorado was valued at 500 000kr.
When you fill the car with petrol its leaks a little from the filling pipe, not the tank, a scratch on the bumpers front, a little blisters in the paint on both wing at the bottom between the door and wheel arches, dry rubber seals. Otherwise nice paint and cab, new windscreen, new bumpers back (from the 1980´s), good chrome and alloy detailing, starts and drive very well.
Only driven 2000-3000km during the past 5 years. Last year driving to a prom on a very hot day and with long queues the engine was warm and went up in the temp (overheated) but after the engine got cool I filled up with water again. I do not know if it is the radiator or radiator cap that’s wrong. If the radiator cap is closed in the first position then it does not go up in the temp, but if I close the radiator cap completely, it can drain out the water in the overpressure hose when it goes up in the temp, but I release the cap again it is no problem.

• Zustand technisch

  Good engine and gearbox, Slight petrol smell when the tanks is full, Rocker cover gasket probably needs replacing, MOT free. Only driven 2000-3000 summer kilometers in the past 5 years, and always garaged in a warm garage. Will recommend a service an inspection of cooling system.

• Zustand Interieur

  Renovated interior and seats in its original white and blue style back in the 1980´s. Still remain clean and tidy, nice interior and trim, small paint chip on dashboard. Still has the original and rare Eldorado dash mounted emblem.

• Zustand Exterieur

  Small blister on both lower side of the front wings, Scratch corners on the front bumpers, small chrome lift on top side of passenger door window frame. Nice and damaged free white cabriolet roof.

• Zustand gesamt

  Overall very nice car for a 63 year old, even with these remarks nothing stands, still looks very nice. The Ultimate summer cruiser "Rock n Roll"
