Beschreibung
On 28 March 1990, Bob Grossman sold the Plus 4, which was then in near-new condition with just 13,307 miles on the odometer. Its next destination was Sweden. The import was handled by Kent Olsson of Svenljunga and Lars Rörström AB in Stockholm. On 11 June 1991, the car passed its Swedish registration inspection and was sold with 13,443 miles recorded to Göran Palm of Alingsås, who enjoyed ownership for sixteen years.
The current owner acquired the car on 6 June 2007 with 27,930 miles on the odometer. He subsequently sold it to Urban Trana of Östhammar on 12 August 2015, by which time the odometer showed 30,720 miles, but repurchased the car on 25 September 2019 when the reading stood at 31,624 miles. Mr Trana was then 80 years old and felt it was time to retire from sports car motoring.
All documentation relating to the car’s sale in the United States, together with receipts for parts purchases, inspection certificates, and other records, has been carefully preserved in a binder that accompanies the vehicle.
Between 2007 and 2010, all radiator hoses and rubber components were replaced. The radiator was fully rebuilt, the braking system comprehensively overhauled, and all front suspension joints renewed. Gas dampers, a brake reaction stay, and a Panhard rod were fitted. A new dashboard crafted from solid mahogany was installed, seat runners were added, and the wire wheels were trued with selected spokes replaced as required.
Between 2010 and 2019, electronic ignition was installed. The speedometer was rebuilt and fitted with a new cable, while a new fuel pump was also installed.
From 2019 to 2026, the car received new seat padding and fresh leather trim on the sills. New original rubber floor mats were fitted. A stainless-steel Derrington tubular exhaust manifold, together with a matching silencer and tailpipe, was installed. The radiator expansion tank was replaced. A new rocker cover from ISIS Morgan in California was fitted—one of only ten cast by Bill Fink, racing driver and Morgan specialist. A Super Sport bonnet scoop was installed and the bonnet repainted. The steering box was completely rebuilt, while the oil pressure, water temperature, fuel level, and ammeter gauges were refurbished. The SU carburettor was chemically cleaned and fully rebuilt. The braking system was converted to a dual-circuit configuration, and an alternator replaced the original charging system. The glovebox-mounted charging indicator unit can also be used to charge a mobile phone.
The car is fully inspected, road legal, and ready to be enjoyed.

Fakten zum Modell
The famous three-wheelers remained in production until 1952, although they have since returned as a tribute to Morgan’s earliest creations. During the 1950s, the four-wheeled models adopted the rounded radiator grille that remains a Morgan hallmark today, replacing the earlier upright “flat-rad” design after the 1954 model year. Another significant milestone came in 1968 with the introduction of the Plus 8 and its powerful V8 engine.
Throughout the 1960s, while much of the British motor industry struggled with labour disputes, badge engineering, and various corporate difficulties under the Leyland umbrella, Morgan remained committed to traditional craftsmanship. Its cars continued to be built around the marque’s signature ash wood frame construction and hand-crafted bodywork. The company did experiment with a closed fibreglass-bodied model in 1964, but the concept proved unsuccessful and was quickly abandoned.
Instead, Morgan continued to offer its traditional range of body styles, including two- and four-seat open tourers, two-seat roadsters, and the elegant Drophead Coupé. During the 1960s, the Plus 4 received front disc brakes and adopted the Triumph TR4 engine, further enhancing its reputation as a capable sporting machine. The model’s credentials were underlined in 1962 when Morgan secured a class victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
