Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand
-
Zustand technisch
Everything functioning well technically. The engine runs quietly and smoothly, and on throttle application the twin carburettors roar in their characteristic way. Gearbox shifts smoothly and brakes are even and responsive. Slightly uneven idling which is likely caused by approximately 5-year-old petrol.
-
Zustand Interieur
Most of the interior has been replaced. New carpets and headlining. Painted dashboard and new door panels. The original upholstery, which is clean and intact, is somewhat faded in its red color.
-
Zustand Exterieur
Excellent condition. Fine paintwork and chrome. New bumpers and trim strips. Minor parts of the chrome have been reused and these parts are in very fine used condition. New tyres fitted in 2010 and have only covered approximately 160 km. Fine wide steel wheels.
-
Zustand gesamt
A thorough, fine restoration that has been kept warm and dry for many years. This means that it is essentially as fine as when it was driven out of the garage and re-emerged many years ago. We can recommend this car in every conceivable way.

Fakten zum Modell
Background and Development
The Volvo PV series began with the PV444, which was introduced in 1944. It quickly became popular for its robustness and safety.
During the 1950s and early 1960s, Volvo continued to develop the PV models, focusing on improving both comfort and performance. The PV544, which came out in 1958, was a significant upgrade with more modern design and technology.
Launch of PV Sport
PV Sport was introduced as a sportier variant of the existing PV series. It was designed to appeal to a younger, more sports-oriented audience interested in performance cars.
PV Sport was equipped with a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine that provided more power and acceleration than the earlier PV models. It also featured improved suspension and brakes to handle more spirited driving.
PV Sport was popular in motorsport and participated in various competitions. Its design and performance made it a strong candidate for both amateur and professional racing events.
PV Sport was manufactured during the mid-1960s, but production was relatively limited compared to other models.
Over time, as Volvo began to focus more on other models and platforms, PV Sport production declined. The last model of the PV series was produced in the late 1960s.
Today, Volvo PV Sport is a highly sought-after classic among collectors and enthusiasts. Its unique design and connection to Volvo's motorsport heritage make it a valuable car on the market.
Volvo PV Sport represents an important part of Volvo's history and their pursuit of combining safety, performance and style in their vehicles.
