A completely untouched type 1 which has only rolled 8930 km, all with the same owner's family. A very nice and unusual beige and light red interior, with stunning patina. When the first owner bought the car, the idea was to train her driving skills, but the traffic was too scary and the car soon garaged. For many years the car was only driven to the MOT center once a year. Came into the museum collection in 2002.
Original paint with some minor scratches on the roof. Little knock on the passenger door and small rust blisters on the engine lid. Almost flawless interior with nice chrome detailing.
Engine number 1501789. A fantastic car that been off road since 2002. Now need a service. One of the country's finest oval beetles.

Inför det här året fick både standard- och exportmodellerna bekvämare stolar med mer stoppning. Andra nyheter var att VW-märket på navkapslarna målades i svart och exportmodellens kamaxeldrev i aluminium.
Tidningen Motor anordnade det här året en tävling där läsarna fick berätta om sin favoritbil. Så här lät det när en lyrisk läsare hyllade sin Folkvagn: "Luftkyld fryssäkrad, lågvarvigt slitstark, vägklistrat fjädrad, luftkondionerat uppvärmd, lättsamt synkroniserad, barnsäkert, bensinsnålt, prisbilligt uppnåelig, lågt skatteklassad – helt enkelt drömbilen".
